-Milo U20 football… Carmel secondary upsets Lodge Secondary

A Marlon Nedd exhibition of quality finishing was on show as Carmel Secondary upset highly favoured Lodge Secondary 3-2, to book their quarterfinal spot in latest action of the Milo U20 football tournament playing at the Ministry of Education Ground on Saturday.

Recording the tournament’s fastest goal in under a minute, Nedd skillfully evaded multiple markers while unleashing a well placed strike to the bottom left hand corner.

Carmel would give up the equalizer through a Jarel Thom shot which quickly restored parity to proceedings in the eighth minute.

Not to be outdone, Carmel would once again take the lead just before half time compliments of penalty kick awarded for a clumsy tackle  in the 33rd minute, which Nedd expertly converted.

The second half began with Lodge once again proving to be resilient foes, as they restored parity in the 54th minute compliments of a well-taken Kevin Boters finish after a Jamal Scott shot was parried by the Carmel custodian in his direction.
