New Campbellville Secondary mauls Charlestown Secondary 5-0

A double from Cindy McPherson and Shomell Daniels assisted New Campbellville Secondary in mauling Charlestown Secondary 5-0 in the Scotiabank/Pepsi Schools tootball tournament last evening at the Ministry of Education ground.

Charlestown custodian was unable to impede Scotiabank/Pepsi ‘All Star Player’ McPherson, whose goals came in the third and 10th minutes of play.

Daniels, an athlete of Mercury Fast Laners netted three minutes later off a free kick from the top of the box, taking the score line to 3-0 at the end of the first half.

Daniels retuned in the 41st minute to add another goal for the eventual winners after feeding off a feasible goal scoring opportunity. A left leg shot got the job done for Daniels who won the ball after a scramble between herself and some of Charlestown defenders around the 18-yard box.

Tiffney Collins closed Campbellville’s account with her goal in the 59th  minute. The victory is the second for Campbellville in the tournament.

More action in the tournament continues on Saturday and Sunday at the same venue with male and female games.
