TLC Shipping Russians reach semis

Half Mile/One Mile, compliments of a collected team effort, dismantled Wisroc 4-0 as quarter-final action in the Guinness Greatest of the Streets Linden section concluded at the Wisroc/Amelia’s Ward Bus Park on Saturday.

Trevor Brewley opened the scoring for the victor’s compliments of a second minute strike while Trevor Trudor and Keron Cameron scored within seconds of each other.

Javon Bibel netted the final goal in the 16th minute.

In the opening encounter of the evening, Silver Bullets, through goals on either side of half-time downed Star Boys 2-0.

Nigel Bennett opened the Silver Bullets account in the fifth minute while  Damion Williams consolidated his team’s position with an 18th minute strike.

Silent Assassins, through goals from Romain Hayne and Quacy Johnson in the fourth and 13th minutes respectively edged Retrieve Unknowns two goals to one. Darrel George netted for Retrieve Unknowns in the 18th  minute.

In the closing game of the evening, TLC Shipping Russians through a Carlos Grant first half effort in the ninth minute needle Coomacka 1-0 to book their semi final berth.

The semi round commences today at the Wisroc/Amelia’s Ward Park with four pulsating fixtures.  In the first semi-final encounter One Mile / Half Mile will oppose Silver Bullets while TLC Shipping Russians will engage the Silent Assassins in the other slated semi-final.

In the programmed exhibition games, L.U.C.S.L will face off with Team Greatness while Brooklyn Stars will tackle Bosai.
