International 6 wins Sash Sawh memorial dominoes tournament

International 6 dominoes team, led by skipper Manniram Shew, led from start to finish to emerge winners of the annual Sash Sawh memorial dominoes tournament played last Saturday at Ernest Shop, Canal Number One, West Bank, Demerara.

They tallied 85 games with Canal Six second on 78 games  and Secretariat  in the cellar with 64.
Most Valuable Player Edmund Sammy and Ron Callendar each scored 17 games  while Martin Permaul and Shew supported with 15 and 14 games respectively.

Basdeo Persaud of Canal Six also marked 17 games while Avinesh Persaud and Amarnauth scored 16 and 15 games respectively.

The top marker for Secretariat was Govil Persaud with 14 games while the lone lovebird was A.Rahaman of Canal.
The competition was held in memory of the late Sash Sawh, a former minister of the People’s Progressive Party, who died under tragic circumstance in 2006.

Among those responsible for the staging of the tournament were  United States based Mark Bookhan, Marvin Mahabali, Vishnu Persaud, Bibi Ali and Indra Jagmohan and  Ramesh Sunich of Trophy Stall who donated the MVP Trophy.
