Bishops’ High defeat Chase Foundation 7-0

Bishops’ High School yesterday defeated Chase Foundation 7-0 in a match of the Scotiabank/Pepsi Schools Tournament at the Ministry of Education ground.

Tyrese Souvenir scored a hat-trick 8th, 49th and 56th minutes

Souvenir scored his first goal after receiving a pass on the right flank and blasted a curling shot past the goalkeeper.

The second goal was scored by Neville Williams in the 11th minute while five more goals were added in the second half.

Bishops’ High continued their scoring when Joel Morrison netted in the 40th minute while Souvenir followed with his second goal some nine minutes later before adding his final in the 56th minute.

Imran Khan and Ron Austin slotted in their goals in the 53rd and 65th minutes respectively for the winners.

The earlier female double header matches between Charlestown Secondary and Tutorial High and Campbellville Secondary and Christ Church ended in 0-0 draws.

Action in the tournament continues on Wednesday with a male game between Queen’s College and Scotiabank/Pepsi Schools defending champs, Lodge Secondary.
