HQ male and ‘A’ Division female teams win GPF Inter-Division dominoes tourney

Headquarters male team and ‘A’ Division female team successfully retained their titles on Friday when the Guyana Police Force Inter-Division Dominoes tournament ended at the Police Sports Club, Eve Leary.

In the male final Headquarters ended on 86 games with `A’ Division occupying the runner up position with 71 games while `B’ Division ended in the cellar with 67 games.

The top markers for Headquarters were Earl Keizer and Richard Henry with 17 games each while Frank Jackman and Lyndon Wilson each contributed 16 games.

The top scorers for `A’ Division were George Calder with 16 games and Boodnarine Persaud with 14 while Terrence Brown with 16 games was the top scorer for `B’ Division.

In the female section, Charlene Phillips and Alana Campbell recorded 17 games each and Holann Hooper chipped in with 15 games for ‘A’ Division.

Cynthia Kelly with 17 and Yana Anderson with 14 games were ‘B’ Division top markers while Cecilia Garnett top scored with 14 games for ‘C’ Division.

Keizer was named the male MVP while Phillips and Kelly shared the honour in the female category and Hooper and Mayan Hunte were joint winners for sharing the first love in the competition.
