KINGSTON, Jamaica,  CMC- The Windward Islands have moved into second place in the race for championship honours in the regional under 15 tournament after defeating host Jamaica by 96 runs on the second and final day of their fourth round match at St.Elizabeth Tuesday.

Windwards put in a commanding performance with the bat in the second innings as Patient knocks from Nick Elibox (44) and Denzil James (41) stretched their lead.

They were all out for 175 giving setting Jamaica a victory target of 209.

Kirk McKenzie and Richard McIntosh gave Jamaica a solid start by putting on 47 runs before a batting slide saw them tumbling from 47 for one to 72 for five.

There was some resistance in the middle of the innings from Dominik Samuels, who played well for his 17 while Captain Brad Barnes could only manage 14.

But the Jamaicans eventually crashed from 94 for six to be all out for 114.

Johnell Eugene did most of the damage for the Windwards with 4-28.

Windwards have now replaced Barbados in second position on the points table.

Patient knocks from Keagan Simmons (22) and Saiba Batoosingh (22) provided the stability the innings needed on the chase.
