Haiti dominates Guyana in CFU women’s World Cup qualifier

Haiti crushed Guyana’s national under-17 women’s football team 19-nil in the Caribbean Football Union’s (CFU) World Cup Qualifier in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday.

The Haitian girls mauled Guyana in their opening game, recording a historic win and scoring the most goals in the qualifier thus far.

With Guyana off to a dreadful start, Rudena Pailere led the winning side with her six goals in the 22nd, 25th, 60th, 63rd, 73rd and 77th minutes respectively. Louis Batcheva complemented the 6-nil score-line with her helmet trick in the 8th, 13th, 38th and 66th minutes. Further goals by Nicholas Nelourde in the 2nd and 28th minutes, Jeudy Sherly who netted in the 16th and 26th minutes, Lamour Catrina in the 20th minute, Beaubrun Soveline in the 52nd minute and Lebrun Isnada in the 85th, 87th and 90th+2 minutes respectively completed the lopsided encounter. Guyana will now face Grenada in their second encounter today.

Meanwhile, in the other game in the group, hosts Dominican Republic crushed Grenada 6 goals to nil. Winibian Peraita led the locals with a helmet trick in the 12th, 33rd, 74th and 90th+2 minutes respectively.

Ana Taveras and Leticia Dominguez completed the result with goals in the 66th and 89th minutes respectively.
