“I think this is a stepping stone for excellence. I want my club to be a role model and a club that everybody will be proud of” added Griffith. He further stated that the players will be given the opportunity to gain football scholarships once they are academically qualified and tactically and technically sound on the field. He said that the club will be supplying the prerequisite in making this a reality and that the players will have to do the rest.

The club was officially launched on Sunday at the African Cultural and Development Association (ACDA) building, Thomas Lands.

The election of the club’s office bearers will be done on September 28 at the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) office in Section K Campbellville at 16:00 hrs.  The constitution and rules of the club will also be ratified on that date.
