The Berbice Cricket Board’s (BCB) Shameer Baksh Memorial Under-17 competition gets underway today at various venues in Berbice.
The participating teams will feature; Berbice Bridge Company Blairmont , Achievers, Shieldstown Sports Club, D’Edward Sports Club, Cotton Tree Die Hard, Bush lot Sports club and Blairmont Little Giants.
Players participating in the competition will have to born after 1st September 1997. In the preliminary stage each teams will have an opportunity to play against each other and the two teams with the most points after the preliminaries will contest the final.
In today’s scheduled encounters, Bush Lot Sports Club will oppose Achievers at Bush Lot; D’Edward Sports Club will play Berbice Bridge Company Blairmont at D’Edward and Cotton Tree Die Hard will play Shieldstown SC at Cotton Tree.
Tomorrow D’Edward SC will oppose Blairmont Little Giants at D’Edward;
Bush Lot SC will tackle Cotton Tree Die Hard at Bush Lot and Shieldstown SC will play Achievers at Shieldstown.
