became the youngest black belt student within the association.

Sensei Winston Dunbar, who is the Technical Advisor/Chief Instructor of Wado Ryu Karate in Guyana, also promoted five other students during the Shodan examination.

Those students were Imran Khan, Simeon Campbell, Daren Bobb, Alfred Hescott and Sierra Evans.

The remaining students were examined in the ranks of seventh Kyu to first Kyu.

Virtually half the examined students attend Mae’s school, which has been practicing the art for a period of six years approximately, a press release stated.

Sensei Dunbar stated that he is extremely pleased with the respective performances of the pupils as they have displayed dedication and commitment, which could create opportunities for them.
