Greatest of the streets football final set

Queen Street Tiger Bay will face off with Stevedore Housing Scheme in the grand finale of the Guinness Greatest of the Streets Georgetown Zone today at the National Park Tarmac, Thomas Lands.

Defeating Hope Street Tiger Bay by a 3-1 score line in their derby semi-final excursion, Queen Street will look to their dynamic duo of Deon Alfred and Keoma Gravesande for another clinical display, if their title aspirations are to be achieved.

side led by the combination of Steven Dolphin and Elroy Parks, will attempt to fashion another upset as they aim to seal their inaugural title.

The third place playoff has been dubbed the battle for the ghetto as Albouystown-B led by the youthful duo of Marlon Nedd and Roy Cassou will faceoff with Hope Street Tiger Bay and their pair of Rensford Coleridge and Dwayne Dickson, in what promises to be an exciting matchup.

The event winners will receive $500,000, and the championship trophy while the runners-up will pocket $300,000 and the second place trophy. The top two finishers by virtue of qualifying for the finale will earn the right to represent the Georgetown zone in the national tournament next year.

Rounding out the final four, the third and fourth place finishers will receive $200,000 and $100,000 respectively. They will also walk away with corresponding trophies.

Prior to the commencement of the main fixtures, three exhibition games inclusive of the media opposing the referees and the Guinness Bar battling Oasis Taxi Service will open the festivities.
