Trophy Stall donates champion jockey trophy for Kennard’s Boxing Day meet

The Trophy Stall’s 20 plus years of sponsorship of the Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) Boxing Day meet continued yesterday.

During a simple ceremony at the company’s new location at 241 South Road and Bourda Streets, proprietor, Ramesh Sunich handed over the champion’s jockey trophy for the 25th year to president of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority, Cecil Kennard.

The annual Boxing Day event has been one of the country’s traditions over the years and this year’s meet is being deemed the ‘biggest’ in recent years.

In excess of $9m in stakes and prizes will be up for grabs on the eight-race card.
