Distance queen Morgan gives back to the less fortunate

Local distance running queen Alika Morgan and her Coach Leslie Blacks, with support from Payless Store, Bacchus Store and Andrew King’s household continued their eight-year tradition of giving back to the less fortunate during the festive season.

On Sunday, Morgan and Blacks visited the Guyana Red Cross Society Children’s Convalescent Home and distributed a quantity of toys and food items.

“Myself and Coach are just giving back some of what we received this year because we know what it is to be in need,” Morgan told this publication.

The premier Track and Field athlete also thanked some of her sponsors which include GT&T, PM Samuel Hinds, Roger Luncheon, Cummings Electrical, Payless Store, Steve’s Electrical, the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) and others for making her season a success.
