Guyana Fashion Week has announced that it will publish an online magazine for its first fashion week and 6th edition of the event.
According to a press release, the cover photo for the magazine was shot by Mark Jacobs, the winner of the GFW/Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment Water Week photography competition. The shoot featured the amazing work of the winner of Designer Portfolio, 2012, Andy Cummings, with Richard Young, styling the models, the winners and runners-up of Guyana Model Search Tyrone Hamid, Amanda Henry, Tina Garraway and Akeisha Joseph.
Meanwhile, Sonia Noel took her Mariska’s Designs to the Haiti Fashion Week, and received rave reviews. The lattice earthy tones, modern black and white woven stitched evening gowns were much talked about and were even featured in the Miami Herald.
