Palm Court to host masquerade ball

In keeping with its New Year’s Eve tradition, Palm Court will host its annual year-ender and for the second time, it will be a Masquerade Ball. Along with the live entertainment and energetic vibes, there will be—also for the second time—the ‘ball drop’.

The ball, suspended several feet in mid-air will be slowly released by a crane at midnight to usher in the dawn of a new year.

Marketing Manager of the Palm Court Catherine Gonsalves promises that this year’s event will outdo the last as the Masquerade Ball is expected to leave patrons even more “dazzled”.

According to a statement by the entertainment club, “This new tradition that Palm Court started… is definitely an experience everyone should have and Palm Court is encouraging the public to come and be a part of this celebration that will hopefully become an occurrence to rival the atmosphere that Times Square has.”

Performing live will be Guyanese entertainers and deejays, including singer Megan Vieira who will be doing her rendition of “Auld Lang Syne”.

VIP tickets cost $25,000 and will include a buffet dinner, breakfast and an all-inclusive open bar all night long. Regular tickets cost $5,000 and patrons will be treated to a complimentary breakfast.
