In The Rainforest…Black capped donocobius

The Black capped donocobius is a cheerful and conspicuous bird along the canals in the Botanical Gardens in Georgetown.  This species mates for life and partners can be seen perched on lotus stalks, flicking their tails and calling melodiously to each other. Common in wetlands and lowlands of South America, they can be seen in the Rupununi wetlands as well.
