The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development yesterday said it expects to see by July 8 the opening of tenders and for the rehabilitation work to commence on the Le Repentir Cemetery by the latter part of July with a target of completion by December.

GINA reported that Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Norman Whittaker and a team visited the cemetery. The government last week announced that $100M would be made available for the work. It will be handled by the Ministry of Local Government and not the city council.
