Police find 178 shotgun cartridges at Canje camp

Acting upon information received, at about 1400h. today, police ranks went to a camp in the Sheet Anchor, East Canje, Berbice, area where they found one hundred and seventy eight 12 gauge shotgun cartridges and 4.5 kilograms of dried cannabis sativa (marijuana).

Two men were seen running away from the camp as the police ranks approached, a statement from the police said today.

Investigations are in progress.
