Jamaica nurse abducted, shot dead

(Jamaica Observer) MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica –The medical fraternity has been thrown into mourning following the murder of one of their members in the full view of a child in St James Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as 54-year old practical nurse Janice Larmon Wilson of Pleasant View, Salt Spring, St James.

Reports are that around 8:00pm the nurse and a child accompanied a friend to Coral Gardens, in the parish.

After leaving the friend, Larmon Wilson and the child were walking along the road when they were abducted by men travelling in a black Toyota Altis motor car.

The abductors took the nurse to a section in Whitehouse in the parish where they forced her to lie down then shot her twice in the head.

The killers subsequently released child along Orange Street, in the vicinity of Cornwall College.

The St James police are investigating.
