A re-tender yesterday for the installation of new air-conditioning units at the National Cultural Centre saw two companies submitting bids.
The bids were the lone ones when the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) yesterday held its weekly opening of tenders.
Patrons have long complained about the malfunctioning of the Centre’s air conditioning system. This prompted Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Dr. Frank Anthony to announce during last month’s National Drama Festival that his ministry would be seeking tenders for the project.

Meanwhile there were no bids submitted for the provision of security services for the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority workshop at its Lusignan and Den Amstel offices. This project will be re-tendered.
