Girl found murdered at Kuru Kururu

The body of a 16-year-old Kuru Kururu girl was this morning found in a creek behind her home and it is believed that she was murdered by a man she shared a relationship with.

The body of Reveena Cozier was discovered by her parents who had gone out looking for her after she failed to return following a reported shopping trip the night before with the man.

The child’s mother, Shevon Cozier said the two shared a relationship for about two years and the man would stay at their home whenever he came out from the interior. The woman said while the couple had problems in the past and the man had hit her daughter before, as far as she knows they had no problem last night.

The man’s phone has since been turned off and a taxi driver has reported taking him to Diamond. Police are investigating.
