Bush Lot man missing since last year found in trench

A man was early yesterday morning dipped out of a trench at Anna Regina on the Essequibo Coast after he was reportedly missing since Old Year’s night.

The body of Arnude Persaud also called ‘Jaglall’ of Bush Lot on the Essequibo Coast was dipped out of a trench opposite Republic Bank as an excavator was cleaning the trench.

Police were summoned to the scene and family members positively identified the man. The decomposed body of the man was taken to the Suddie Public Hospital mortuary where an autopsy is to be performed shortly.

According to reports, Persaud was constantly seen drunk around the Anna Regina area and went missing on Old Year’s night.

Efforts made by this publication to contact family members of the dead man proved futile.
