Four men held after robbery at Nismes fuel station

At about 2230h. last night, police say that five men armed with a handgun, ice-picks and knives, attacked and robbed pump attendant at the Nismes Fuel Station Hassan Khan, 25 years, of an undisclosed sum of cash and three men who were with him watching television of a total of $13,600.00 and two cell phones. The men escaped in a motor vehicle.

Subsequent investigations by the police led to the arrest of a man and the detaining of the vehicle at Vreed-en-Hoop, WCD. Further investigations led to the arrest of three other men in a mini-bus at the Demerara Harbour Bridge and another man at Hunter Street, Albouystown, police said.

The two stolen cell phones were recovered.

The men are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
