Police recover car hijacked from Canal No.2 man

At about 1545h. yesterday, Taxi Driver Narine Bahadur, 52 years, of Canal No. 2, WBD, was attacked and robbed of his motor vehicle by two men who had hired him to travel from Vreed-en-Hoop to Parika.

At New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, the men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, held up Narine Bahadur and took away his vehicle.

The police responded to the report and recovered the vehicle at a location in Vreed-en-Hoop. Further investigations led to the arrest of the perpetrators in a restaurant at Harlem, WCD, and the recovery of an unlicensed .38 Taurus revolver.

The men are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
