A woman is hospitalized in serious condition after she was repeatedly stabbed by her ex-lover who later took his own life by hanging.
Confirmed dead is Andrew Patterson, age 32, of Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara while the injured woman has been identified as Tamika Miller, age 29, also of Goed Fortuin. She was stabbed a reported 27 times and is currently at the Georgetown Hospital where she is receiving treatment.
Stabroek News was informed by the woman’s relatives that she opted out of the relationship about a month ago owing to constant abuse. Reports are that the man was at the woman’s house around 1:30 am today and she asked him to leave. While doing so he began stabbing her. Patterson was later found hanging in the yard at Versailles.
