Man shot, robbed on Railway Embankment

At about 0515h.  today,  the police say that Inshan Ramlakhan, 21 years, of Mon Repos, ECD, was walking along the Railway Embankment, Blygezight, Georgetown, when he was attacked by a man armed with a handgun.

He was held up and shot to his left shoulder by the perpetrator who took away three cell phones and $8,000.00 and escaped on a bicycle, police said. Ramlakhan has been admitted to hospital.

Investigations are in progress.
