Cop under close arrest after prisoner’s hospital escape

The policeman who was guarding Dexroy Brown, who escaped from the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) on Monday while under police guard, is under close arrest.

Brown remained at-large yesterday, according to Crime Chief Seelall Persaud, who also confirmed that the rank was under close arrest. He added that an arrest warrant was issued by the court for Brown and not a wanted bulletin as was reported in some sections of the media.

Brown was shot by police last week while trying to escape after he and another man, David Bernard, were allegedly nabbed with guns
