Policing group revived at Cotton Tree

The Community Police Group (CPG) at Cotton Tree Village, West Coast Berbice was recently resuscitated and the newly elected members say they are willing to serve diligently.

They expressed this commitment following the election that was observed by chairman of the ‘B’ Division CGP, Krishna Seelall and Sergeant Semple of the Blairmont Police Station.

Public Relations Officer, Felix Davis said members were reminded that they were expected to uphold the objectives of the CPG. They were also told that the relationship of the community and the group should be based on respect.

Another group that was formed one year ago had to be dissolved to make way for the new one. Sunhanlall Ragubeer has been named chairman while Koearlall Rambarran is now the vice-chairman, Patel Deo Jairam is the secretary and Dharamdeo Seenarine and Saheed Ally were elected treasurer and secretary-treasurer respectively.

Other members are: Jagnarine Edwards, Deodat Girdharri, Amit Awie Hassan Ally, Oreeram Bhoojraj, Fazeem Latiff and Geenarine Hardat.
