Pedestrian dies in Hopetown accident

At about 2000h last night, police say that a fatal accident occurred at Hopetown, WCB, that resulted in the death of pedestrian Ted James Da Silva, 49 years, of Hopetown.

Investigations have revealed that Da Silva allegedly attempted to cross the St. John Road and was struck down by a motor cycle. He succumbed while receiving medical treatment at the Fort Wellington Hospital.

The pillion rider on the motor cycle, Roxanne McKenzie of Hopetown, suffered injuries and was treated at the hospital and sent away.

The driver of the motor cycle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
