Bids opened for steel piles for pump stations

Bids were yesterday opened for the supply of steel piles to the Ministry of Agriculture’s   National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) for the construction of pump stations at Joppa, No.43, Eversham and Gangaram, Berbice and Lima in Essequibo.

The bids were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, Ministry of Finance Compound, Georgetown. Seven companies submitted bids and these are shown in the table below.

With the procuring entity being the Ministry of Amerindian Affairs, tenders were received for the  procurement of material and sewing-related material for students in Regions 1,7,8 and 9.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s  Guyana Protected Areas System Project  saw bids for the  construction component of the staff living quarters, Kaieteur National Park, Region 8.

The Guyana Water Inc tender for supply improvement at St Ignatius, Region 9 will be retendered as the lone bidder failed to correctly address his tender as required in the bidding document.

The supply and Installation of materials for interconnection of components within the water supply system at Linden, Region 10 also had one bidder whose bid was $26.4M. The engineer’s estimate for the project was stated as $25.7M.
