West Canje man fatally shot in property dispute

At about 1730h. yesterday, Police say that Errol Lindo, 52 years, of Caracas Village, West Canje, Berbice, was involved in an argument, over ownership of a property, with a man who is a licensed firearm holder and during which he was shot.

Lindo later succumbed to his injuries at the New Amsterdam Hospital.

The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations, the police said.
