Apology

Stabroek News had mistakenly carried the photo of Keshwar Harinarain, 24, on April 8 along with the story of Deodat ‘Popcorn’ Seecharran who was shot dead by police during a shootout. The photo again inadvertently appeared in the Sunday Stabroek on April 13 in our ‘Recent events review’ column. The correct photo of Seecharran was uploaded on April 8, immediately after it was detected and changed in the print edition the following day. Harinarain’s, attorney Charrandas Persaud contacted this newspaper and requested that it be clarified. Stabroek News regrets the error and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
