Contract for Mosquito Hall sea defence cleared

Cabinet has offered no objections to seven contracts including one for the Mosquito Hall sea defence, Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Dr Roger Luncheon said on Wednesday.

Luncheon stated that among those contracts cleared was $275 million for the sea defence overhaul planned for Mosquito Hall, East Coast Demerara. Public Works Minister Robeson Benn had stated that work was to officially commence in March while earlier in the year temporary fixes were being done prior to the tendering.
