Man stabbed brother after food row – court hears

A young man was yesterday remanded to prison on a charge that he stabbed his brother after an argument about food.

Zeal Williams, 19, was not required to plead to a malicious wounding charge when it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magis-trates’ Courts. According to the charge, Williams stabbed his brother on May 10 in the Upper Mazaruni River area.
