Friendship man shot in robbery

At about 2300h last night, police say that Anthony Johnson, 34 years, of Friendship, EBD, was walking along a road in the Friendship Squatting Area, EBD, when he was attacked by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.

During the incident, police say that Johnson was shot and injured to his right leg by the perpetrators who took away $7,000.00 and his wrist watch and escaped. He has been admitted to the GPHC.

Investigations are in progress.
