Pomeroon man jailed for theft of amplifier

A Pomeroon River man is now a guest of the state for the next 16 months after he was convicted of break and enter and larceny and simple larceny.

Kelvin Manie, 25, appeared before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court last Tuesday where he answered to the charges mentioned above. The police alleged that between May 20 and May 31 in the Lower Pomeroon River, Manie broke and entered the dwelling house of Leslie Benjamin and stole an amplifier valued $360,000.
