NY cops suspect dismembered corpse could be missing Guyanese woman

Detectives investigating the disappearance of New York based-Guyanese mother Chinelle Browne are conducting DNA tests on a dismembered corpse found in a parking lot in Long Island, New York, while her distraught husband Dale Browne prays that it is not his wife.

Chinelle, 27, who has been living in New York while her husband and four children reside in Guyana, lost touch with her husband last Sunday when he believes she lost her phone. Recounting the events that led up to his wife’s disappearance, Browne told Stabroek News that the last time he spoke to his wife was via messaging platform WhatsApp but he is not entirely sure it was her he was texting.

According to Dale, his wife told him of an altercation she had with her landlady Lea Cuevas on Friday night concerning the lighting in the apartment she shares with a couple. He said that afterward, they spoke on Saturday when she told him that she was going to do some washing.
