Suriname national dies after falling off lorry

At about 1615h today, police say that Surinamese national Richie Debideen, 25 years, of Nickerie, was a passenger in a motor lorry transporting equipment along the roadway at No. 51 Village, Corentyne, when he came into contact with a wire across the road and fell out of the vehicle.

He was taken to the Skeldon Hospital where he was pronounced DOA.

Investigations are in progress.
