The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 1430h. yesterday at Avenue of the Republic, Georgetown, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Rajmattie Ram, 73 years, of Triumph, ECD.
Investigations have revealed that Ram was struck down by a motor lorry at the junction with Robb Street. She was pronounced DOA at the GPHC.
The driver of the vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
