No.69 Village boy appears to have been murdered

A post-mortem (PM) examination conducted yesterday on the remains of 17-year-old Haresh Roth of No 69 Village proved that he died from a severe hit to the head.

The body bore a big gash to the right side of the head as well as a big cut to his body. His uncle/guardian, Anand Punwassie told Stabroek News yesterday that based on the injuries it appeared as though the lad was murdered.

The body was found early Tuesday morning at No 66 Village and at first persons believed that the he was a victim of a hit-and-run accident.

Punwassie believed that his nephew who did odd jobs for a living
