A suspect remains in custody over a robbery and multiple rapes in a Berbice home last Tuesday but a second suspect was yesterday released on station bail.
On Tuesday last at around 21:00h, four men armed with hand guns and cutlasses, invaded the home of a family during which they brutalised and raped the females. At the time of the incident the family were “locking up” their shop.
As the armed men entered the home, they attacked the father and husband; tied and gagged him and left him in the shop.
The rapes occurred thereafter.
The police are continuing their investigation.
