Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 1730h. yesterday in the Poke Bridge, Lethem Trail area, and which resulted in the death of motor cyclist Lindy Ambrose, 27 years, of Haiwa, Central Rupununi, police said today.
Initial investigations indicate that Ambrose attempted to overtake a motor lorry during which he lost control of the vehicle and was run over by the lorry. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Lethem Hospital.
The driver of the motor lorry is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
