Gunman seizes $6m in jewels from Dundee businessman

At about 1200h. today, police say that Gopaul Bridgenandan, 63 years, of Eastern ½ Dundee, Mahaicony, ECD, was in his business premises at his home when two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun entered the business.

The men held Bridgenandan, assaulted him to his head, and took away a quantity of gold jewellery valued $6M GC, $1,100.00US and $780.00.

The men discharged three rounds in the air and escaped in awaiting motor car.

Investigations are in progress.
