Days after the fatal shooting of electrical engineer Saleem Azeez Abdool, police are still working on the footage that captured images of the man’s attackers.
Abdool, 23, of Lot 33 Delhi Street and also of Columbia, Essequibo, died after gunmen attacked him in front of his home at approximately 4:30hrs on Sunday, October 19 , robbed and shot him several times. He later succumbed to his injuries.
According to ‘A’ division commander, Senior Superintendent Clifton Hicken, technicians are working on the footage in an effort to identify the bandits.
A release from the police stated that Abdool was confronted by the three men who attempted to rob him and during the incident he was shot and later succumbed.
A post mortem examination ruled that Abdool died from gunshot wounds to his head.
