Man gets 24 months for gun-point robbery

A man was yesterday sentenced to 24 months imprisonment after he was found guilty of armed robbery by Magistrate Judy Latchman.

It is alleged on September 15, Kevin Denhart, 18, an employee of Beepats, together with others, armed with an offensive weapon, that is a gun, robbed Ryan Harry of $15,000 in cash at High Street, Georgetown.

On the day of the robbery, around 4am, Denhart and two other men approached Harry at High Street and relieved him of $15,000.

The matter was reported to the Brickdam Police Station and acting on information received police went to the location, where Denhart was identified and arrested. The two other men are yet to be found and investigations are ongoing.
