Bail for neighbour who lit fire

Magistrate Annette Singh yesterday granted Christopher Eleazer $10,000 bail after he denied lighting a fire in his yard to annoy his neighbour.

It is alleged that on December 14 at Stone Avenue, Georgetown, Eleazer, 36, a businessman, lit a fire in his yard with intent to cause annoyance to his neighbour, Andrew Waldron. Eleazer pleaded not guilty to the charge read to him in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 11. Prosecutor Adduni Inniss did not object to bail.

The matter is adjourned to January 15.
