Learning Channel not using national standards to advertise programme times

Dear Editor,

I am appealing to the Guyana Learning Channel to refer to the Mathematics Curriculum Guides and the Interactive Radio Instruction Programme to gain insight into how times should be recorded in its programme schedule rather than its current am/pm system.

Communications can be directed to the Guyana Bureau of Standards as to national expectations in relation to how time is written.

The Ministry of Education, I am certain, can consult its subject specialists to advise the Guyana Learning Channel that its current notation of time in its programme schedules goes against the curricula and national standards.

Yours faithfully,
Krishna Nand Prasad
