Dear Editor,
With reference to my letter dated February 15, 2014 captioned ‘Refund on GPL deposit not paid after five years,’ I would like to inform you that after the letter’s publication, I was contacted on March 3 by Ms London of GPL who explained that the payment had been ready since July, 2013; however due to the time which had elapsed, payment could not be made. However, she promised to take on the responsibility of getting the refund back to me. Ms London of Onverwagt did just that, and she kept in contact with me. On Wednesday, March 26, I was summoned to her office and I received my deposit refund. A big thank you to Stabroek News for publishing my letter, without which I guess I would still be waiting for my money, and thanks to Ms London for being so professional in her work.
