I hope that enterprise-oriented Guyanese are paying attention. For certainty, the head people in the ruling political party have a serious migraine. This one is called Perry L Holloway. We have progressed from the good cop (Hardt) to a real mean dude in the form and promised presence of the new guy. Welcome Excellency Holloway. Where have you been so long? There is a ton of work waiting for closure; identities and felonies already well known.
I had said to some friends that the next ambassadorial nomination was going to be a hardnosed, take-no-prisoners fellow, that he would be Iraq seasoned.
Well, it is close enough to that other combat zone, Afghanistan.
Additionally, just look at the career track record of Mr Holloway and its emphasis on narcotics. On paper, and in reality, this man has been in some hot spots.
And now he is poised to come to the land of many washers and many trans-shippers.
I predict a battalion of commercially and politically successful citizens heading to the welcoming sanctuary of Venezuela. What is going to follow when that society is ‘regularized’ is another story.
Now I wait to see which robust lady (current polite and acceptable expression) will step forward to sing the song of the naked and the vulnerable.
A word of advice is timely: Don’t mess with Holloway; he is not Hardt. He may not even have one.
